<br /> With the award of the U.S. DOE Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant(EECBG) in
<br /> October, the City will let a contract to ICLEI, Local Governments for Sustainability to draft a
<br /> :V Climate Action Plan as laid out earlier this year. The ICLEI contract has been reviewed by the
<br /> 4City and ICLEIf;y . The contract is for $47,000. The scope requires ICLEI consultants to review
<br /> our work on the carbon footprint, guide the City to reduction goals, prepare a plan that takes
<br /> •_`' , into consideration national and state climate protection legislation and draft a plan that is
<br /> ><'.; measureable and cost effective.
<br /> ICLEI provided the model for the City's previous carbon footprint work in 2007/2008.
