All but four have had control projects to <br /> reduce overflow events. The City submitted plans and specifications for the Bond Street CSO Control <br /> Facilities to control overflows at these final four outfalls in December 2008. The Washington State <br /> Department of Ecology approved the plans and specifications for this project. In 2009,the total estimated <br /> cost for this project was $23 million. <br /> The City was offered a$6.2 million State Revolving Fund loan to begin construction. This is one of the <br /> projects funded by the SRF loan. The Lift Station 5 Force Main is the second of five construction packages <br /> for the Bond Street CSO Control Facilities project. The Lift Station 5 Force Main will reduce overflows <br /> from Puget Sound Outfall 4 by replacing the current force main with a larger diameter pipeline. <br /> The bid opening for the Lift Station 5 Force Main was on December 8, 2009 and 16 bids were received. The <br /> tabulation of the bids is attached. The lowest responsive,responsible bidder was Plats Plus with a bid of <br /> $248,349.19. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Authorize Award of construction contract to Plats Plus for the Lift Station 5 Force Main in the amount of <br /> $248,349.19 including state sales tax. <br /> 85 <br />
