3. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION declaring the City's intent to accept a <br /> gift from John W. St. John in the amount of$10,000.00, <br /> bequeathed to the Everett Police Department Crime Prevention Unit. <br /> WHEREAS, the Estate of John W. St. John has made a Specific Distribution through his Last Will <br /> and Testament to the Everett Police Department's Crime Fighting Unit; and <br /> WHEREAS,the amount of the Distribution is$10,000.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, the $10,000.00 bequest has been transmitted to the City via a Hermes Law Finn <br /> IOLTA check in the sum of$10,000.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, EMC 2.105.020 grants the Mayor authority to conditionally accept gifts of personal <br /> property and the Mayor does recommend acceptance of this gift of personal property from the Estate <br /> of John W. St. John; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that the City of Everett accepts the gift of$10,000.00 from the Estate of John W. St. <br /> John for use by the Everett Police Department Crime Prevention Unit in the normal course of their <br /> duties. <br /> Council Person Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this day of January,2010. <br /> Council President <br /> 14 <br />
