f7401ERETT
RESOLUTION NO. 4069
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EVERETT CONCERNING PAINE FIELD
AIRPORT'S PROPOSED METHODS OF PROVIDING COMMUNITY
NOTIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Everett strongly believes that Paine Field is an important
economic asset to Snohomish County and Everett; and
WHEREAS, the City of Everett has a desire to work with Snohomish County on the
future of Paine Field; and
WHEREAS, Snohomish County and Everett's largest employer, Boeing, depends on
Paine Field Airport for its production of the 747, 767, and 777 airplanes; and
WHEREAS, Paine Field Airport provides for numerous job and recreation opportunities
in the area; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Paine Field Master Plan and Part 150 Noise Study Update are
an effort by Paine Field Airport to work with adjacent communities on the impacts of the
airport functions; and
WHEREAS, the Everett City Council wishes that the public be informed of Paine Field
Airport activities; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 64.06 RCW requires extensive disclosure in a transaction for the
sale of residential property.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED By the Everett City Council that:
1. It is not opposed to the transmittal of a formal Buyer Notification/Disclosure
Statement being required by the Airport prior to closing a real estate transaction on
property within the proposed "Airport Influence Area" provided that the City is not
required to impose or enforce such a requirement. Such a Buyer Notification/Disclosure
statement is consistent with the disclosure requirements of Chapter 64.06 RCW.
