:17.1<'ELfEi?ETT RESOLUTION NO. 4016 A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of City Real Property generally located North of Charles Street and West of Federal Ave. WHEREAS, review of the property described in Exhibit "A" has been completed by all City Departments and Administration; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council finds and determines that the real property described in Exhibit "A" is not and will not be needed for City purposes; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council finds that the City has complied with the requirements of Section 15.8 of the City Charter and requirements of Resolution 1984, except as modified herein; and WHEREAS, the Everett School District has expressed interest in acquiring the property for the public purpose of off street parking for staff and citizens utilizing Jackson Elementary School; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT as follows: Section 1: The real property described in Exhibit "A" is not and will not be needed for City purposes and is, therefore, declared to be surplus property. Section 2: The real property described in Exhibit "A" shall be offered to the Everett School District under the provision described in Section 15.8 of the Everett City Charter. Should agreement on the terms of the sale be reached between the parties, the property shall be sold on the following conditions: a) The requirements of Resolution No. 1984 will be followed in the disposition of the real property described in Exhibit "A; and b) It is a priority that the real property described in Exhibit "A" shall not be sold for less than 100% of the value as established by a written appraisal ordered by the City and meeting the requirements of Section 15.8 of the Everett City Charter; and d) Prior to closing, a purchase and sale agreement detailing the terms of the sale shall be submitted to the City Council for approval; and
