Four responses to the RFP were received and evaluated by a team <br />representing Purchasing, Facilities, Parks and Public Works. <br />After evaluation and interviews with the three highest scoring contractors, staff is recommending the award <br />of contracts to Burton Construction Inc and Fornna Construction Company. This recomnnendation is based on <br />their experience with similar work, ability to manage multiple projects and commitment to include local sub- <br />contractors. <br />Contracts will have an initial term of two years and staff estimates potential JOC projects totaling $2 million <br />a year. <br />RECOMMENDATION: (Exact action requested of Council): <br />Award RFP 2014-061 and Authorize the Mayor to sign contracts with Burton Construction, Inc. and Forma <br />Construction Company for Job Order Contracting for general construction services. <br />49 <br />
