If older pavment materials are encountered below the asphalt wearing surface, which cannot be penetrated by borrow stem auger, it will be necessary to employ a concrete coring <br />specialty contractor. This would be covered by contingency. <br />4. This work scope excludes evaluation of potential presence or absence of contaminated or hazardous materials in soil or groundiyater. Hydrocarbon -impacted materials are known <br />to exist along the west side of the BNSF tracks. <br />5.
