The Everett Municipal Code requires all property owners within 150 feet or adjacent to a public sanitary se�vcr shall connect their private sewer system to the public sewer after being notified hy the City ot Everett Public Works Department. Our records also indicate that your property is adjacent to, or is within 150 teet of an existing public sanitary sewer. I have enclosed an excerpt from our sa�itary sewer chart indicating the proximity of your property to a public sanitary sewer system. Any costs to connect, including construction and monthly se�ver service charges, is to be borne by the property owner. A sewer permit and application issued by the City and signed by an inspector is one viable means of proof. Another alternative ;o prove the structure is connected to the sewer system is to allow the City of [verett to perform a dye test. A dye test requires the owner's permission and the resident's notification to allow a city employee to enter the premises and flush dye into the toile�. In a short amount of time the colored water will appear in the sewer main if the residenr,e is hooked up to the sewer system.
