MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Gordon Witcher <br />FROM: Jane li nmmcnnan <br />DATE: August 9, 1996 <br />SUBJECT: Pre -Application Meeting, Dennis Petroleum, 1 12th Street <br />My camments on the subject project are: <br />On -site detention of stommwater runoff is required per City standards. <br />Treatment of stormwater runoff from paved areas must occur, per City standards, prior to <br />discharge of the stormwater from the site or to if stream or wetland. Stonnwater <br />detention/retention, quality protection, and treatment requirements for this project shall <br />be those requirements in eliect at the time of application for Public Works permits. <br />Because the site is located within the Silver Lake drainage basin, a wetpond in series with <br />a vegetated swale will be required to provide stormwater treatment for pavement runoff <br />from this project. The applicant proposes to upgrade the existing stormwater treatment <br />facility located to the north to treat stormwater runoff from this project. Any alteration of <br />the existing facilities must result in treatment and dcteu ion of stom»eater from the <br />existing project at least al a level consistent with the requirements that were in place for <br />that project. <br />Rooftop runoffshould be discharged to roofdownspout infiltration systems designed <br />and constructed in accordance with City standards, if suitable soil conditions exist on the <br />site. <br />All chemicals or products of a hazardous or toxic nature that may be used or stored on the <br />site must be stored under cover and isolated firom the storm drainage system. <br />No hydraulic connection hemeen the car washing area and the stom drainage system <br />shall he allowed. A discharge authorization issued by the City's Industrial Pretreatment <br />Program may be required fimr any discharge of washw'ater to the sanitary sewer. <br />The design of the fueling area and underground storage tank area must meet City <br />standards. <br />p 'dma jmir surd padppas <br />
