Doya] Hoover
at the job site, I mentioned that the walk-in couler
floor drain must not be served by a direct drain. It is
my understanding from our conversation that a el.evat-ed
stainless steel drain pan iaill be constructed and instlled
in the cooler to catch the liquid wastes from the raw
chicken. Also, the pan will have a drainpipe Chat goes
through the cnoler wall and discharges into a drain out-
side the cooler,
In order to prevent warm kitchen air from being drawn back
! through the drainpipe into the cooler, a P-tran is required.
The drainpipe should Ue at least 2 inches in di.imeter and
 slope to the outsi.de drain.
The Snohomish Health Distr.ict would like to bring to your
attention again item 17 of the August 11, 1983 plan review
report regardi.ng changes and/or additions to your layout
plans and equipment snecifications.
Should you have any cuesltons, nlense contact ur ofticr_
at 259-537.
Very truly yoirs,
John W.
