YUHL & ASSOCIATES
ENGINEkRING
SURVEYING
July 22, 1976
Mr. 'I'runian Glay
15823 Iacific Ili,hway Soulh
Seattic, N'a. 3H1fSfi
Re Lago-de-Plata
Dear Truniau
PHONE 20G 641 2Ei(i
12G8 W. LK. SAMM. PKWY. N.E.. BELEVUE. WA. 98006
In accnrance with your requeat, we have perfor:ned a topographic survey tor
the purpoae of fultilling Condilion N 23 of the Everett Ylanning Commiseion,
whicl s:
"submiltal lo thc 1'lanning Cummiysion uf a toporaphic aurvey which
localee all trees u! mure than a L-inch diameler."
Tranemiltal Ierewith ie a copy uf your Site Ylan N 1 on whicli 1 have marked the
tree locatione.
Ylease note thal where lhe lrees are cluniped, we have located lhe outer bound-
ary of lhe clump and aet furth th species and eize ran;e ra[her than to pinpoint
every tree in the clunip. We havc dune this fur twu rcaeone:
1. 1'o see within a cliunp reyuires extensive brushing, which would mainly
coneiet of chupping ff all uf the lower branches ot the evertireene eo that
we cuuld see ancl meaeure tu tle individual trunke. By the time thal thie
ie donc lor every trcc, lhc luwcr limbs ol inust of the trees are pretty
well hacked up.
2, In the paet we have ierfuniied topo;raphic surveye and have localed the
trees in accurdance with Section 700/ Z(d) u[ Belleue Ordinance N 1803
which slales: "... wLeu lhe folia;e of the treee touches, thereby forming
a con[inuoue canopy, lle uuf er boundaries uf the clutnp can be ahown
setlin; forth the average diamater o( lhr, tree trunke".
Also, there are a few aldere that are over G-inches outside ot the clump limita
ehown. It ie our interpretalion however that what ie deeired are Lhe conifer lo-
catione and the trece that are ueefulfor ecreening purpoees. For that reaeon,
we would aee no value in lhe alders tlat are scatered within the develupment.
7'he critical nalure of the finieh gradeo on thie property (parlially because of the
need to provide etorm water detention facilitiee and adequale drainage ot each
mobile home ei[e) will prcbably make it imposeible to retain any ot these treee.
Sincere]y yore,
! ! r`C— — _ _ _ _ _ _
M ichael H.
