Observed lhal the masonry brick wall on -C.3 belween <br />1.7-2.1 was missing a vertical bar al 48" on-center. The wall was ungrouled between 8-12 ft. <br />Contraclor was inlormed. The 8-12 fl. section was removed and parl of the grouted section was <br />being removed to find lhe previous vertical lap bar(s). Observed that the 6" wall on line 6 at tlie <br />northeasl comer had only (2) J15 ver�icals at the end U ien skip 3 cells then one more vertical. <br />Plans call for #5 verticals last 6 cells. A tolal ot (3) #5 verticals were missing. Line 6 wall was <br />grouled to 8 fl. in heighL We understand lhal lhe contraclor plans to remove sections o( the wall <br />to (ix tlie problem. Additionally, the west end of the wall on line 4.7 had only (3) of (4) #5 verticals <br />shown on the plans. The next vertical was in lhe 4th cell lo lhe east. The line 4.7 wall was <br />c�routed up �0 8 ft. in height. We undersland that the (ourlh #5 vertical was left oul due lo confli�t <br />with an overlaying penelration. The slructural enc�ineer should be informed. Brick was being laid <br />on line 4J wall belween �-12 ft. in height.
