24. Any security fence erected around the construction site <br />must be located so as to not obstruct any exist:ing <br />hydrant, fire protection equipment, or i�ire Department <br />access. If Fire Depurtment access is obstructed, qates <br />or other openinqs must be provided for access. <br />25. The City of Everett prohibits outdoor burning. <br />Therefore, outdoor burning for the purpose of disposing <br />of construction debris or rubbish will not be <br />permitted. <br />26. The Washinqton State Clean Air Act requirer the use of <br />all known, available, and reasonable means of <br />contz•ollinq Rir pollution, includinq dust. Dust <br />qenerated durinq conatruction activities cnn be <br />controlled by wetting those dust sources siich as areas <br />of exposeQ soils, washinq truck wheels befc�re they <br />leave Lhe site, and installing and maintaining gravel <br />constr�action entrances. Construction vehicle tra:k-out <br />is also a major dust source. Any evidence of track-out <br />can trigqer violations and fines fro� the Department of <br />Ecology or the Puget Sound Air Pollution Control <br />�gency. <br />GSNSRAL INFORMATION <br />The Police Department has the following aecurity <br />recommendations: <br />1. A fire and intrusion alarm system for unoccupied staff <br />offices that can be monitored by staff or outside siren <br />is recommended. Remote duress "panic" sensora for <br />staff are suqqested. If appropriete, alarm resident <br />perimeter doors which could alert staff should be <br />provided. A video system monitorinq the hallways is <br />most effective. <br />2, 1► narcotics cabiinet is recommended with at least 1/4" <br />welded eteel plate with 3/8" case hardened steel hasp <br />and 1/2" case hardened steel sheckle padlock. The <br />padlock should fur.ther be shielded with at least 1 1/4" <br />welded steel platinq to deter bolt cutters. <br />7. if offices will be handling cash, install a money safe <br />(for next day t•eceipta) and install passive infrared <br />alarm sensor for lerger areas. <br />4. Perimeter doors should be solid core witM 190 deqree to <br />220 deqree wide angle viewers and sinqle cylinder dead- <br />bolts with 1" throw and at least 3" screws securinq <br />srriker plate. <br />
