Th.r. <br />documentalion consisted of a photoyraphic record of lhe conslruction, including excavation, <br />installation of the flow control piping. rock-bed, amended soiis, and pond formation. Tne <br />conlrar.tor also measured the bottom areas (or Mr. Ash, notmg that ail cells will exceed 400 <br />square feet (�Q wilh ihe exception of Lo62, whir.h was smaller due to the presence of ihe power <br />and phone pedestals. The average for ihe sile will readily excced thr. 400 sf mimmum. <br />The amended soil blend was Ihe Fcrti-muir,h producl prepared hy the Thomas Family Farm, <br />(Topsoil's Norihwest Inc.) on Marsh Rd m Snohomish, Washmqton, which is madc o( a hiyh <br />yuality compost produced (rom manures and beddiny rnaterials and is cured tor at leasl one <br />year. Land Technologies has experience with this produr,t and tacildy and consider it one of the <br />beiter praducts (or use in bio-cell construclion It is a r,onsislen; producl thc mrels Ihe DOE <br />perm�abilily and organic c,oNent requirements. <br />The open ponding area o1 ihe completed bio-cr.11 h.is not br.en formally topographically <br />surveyed, bul a few sunple 'yard slick' measurements c:onfirm the side slopes are acceptable <br />and ihe total depih meets or exceeas the 18 inch mfnimum.
