Thr. <br />documentation consisted ol a photographic record o( ihe consiruction, inctuding excavalion, <br />installation ot ihe flow con�rol piping, rock-bed, amended soils, and pond formation. The <br />conlractor also measured the bottom areas for Mr. Ash, noting that all cells will exceed 400 <br />square feel (sf) with Ihe excepUnn of Lot-2, which was smaller due lo the presenr,e of �hr power <br />and phonc pedestals and thc Iha� aver,3qc 1or Ihe tiilc wiil readily exccr.d lhe 400 sl rnirnmum <br />hottom area. <br />The amended soil blend was Ihe Ferti-mulch prafuc! prepared hy lhe Thomas Farndy F�arm, <br />(Topsod's Northwest Inc ) on Marsh Rd in Snohomish, Washinylon, which is made ol a high <br />qua6ty compost produced Irom manures and beddmg matenals and is cured tor al Ieast onr, <br />year. Land Technoloyies has expenence with ihis product and facility and consider it one ol lhe <br />better products lor use in bio-cell construction. It is a consistent producl Ihe meets ihe DOE <br />per.neability and organic contenl requirements. <br />The open ponding area o( ihe completed bio-ceil has not been fortnally Iopographicaliy <br />surveyed, but a few simple 'yard stick' measurements confirm ihe side slopes are acceptable <br />and the total depth meets �r exceeds lhe 18 mch mmimum.
