During our 1987 <br />invesligalion, randotn dep�cils o( so(t, clayey silt tverc also observed within lhe cenlral <br />porlion of the sitc. 7'I�c highc; clevalions of Ihe ridgc localed alon� lhe west sidc of Ihe silc <br />and a localized area along Ihe easl-center ed�e of the pro� �rly aE•pcar lo be underlain by <br />compacl, nalive wealhered lill overlying dense lill. Cenerally, the soil wiils encountered in <br />our lesl pils consisled o( Ihe following: <br />Pill - Nonslructural fill tvas encowitercd Ihroughoul Ihe site wilh the exception <br />of the ridge area localed along Ihe weslern boundary and a localized area <br />located in lhe east-ceMnl porlion of Ihe sile. The composilion and density of. <br />Ihe fill varied considerably bul generally consisled of loose to compact, dark <br />ycllu�vish brown lo tnodcrale brown and medium groy to light olivc gi;�y, finc <br />lo mediinn sand wilh some sill, lillle gravr.l and a lracc of debris.
