10. Minimize su.face runoff from recreational facilit2es. <br />REOULATIONS <br />f}eneral <br />1. Racreation facllities shall be deaigned to take maximum advantage <br />of and enhance the natural character of the ahoreline area. <br />2. The fol�owing regulatlona ahall apply to artificial marine life <br />habitata: <br />a. Habitata ehall not interfere with surface navigation; <br />b. Habitata shall be conatructed of long laating non-polluting <br />materials and moored so ae to remain in their original ' <br />location even under adverse current or wave action; <br />c. Habitats may not be inatalled on publicly-owned aubmerged - <br />land without permi�sion of the adminiatering governmental <br />agtncy. _ <br />3• tQotor vehicle use, ta includa two and three wheeled vehiclee, shall <br />noC be permitted on beachea, dunee, or fragile shareline areas � <br />EXCEPT as neceaaary for official maintenance or the preaervation of <br />publio health and aafety. <br />� <br />Natural Environment <br />1. Very low intenai:y recreation ueaa� auch as pasaive vieapoints, - <br />trails, or limited picnic facilitiea, shall be permitted in <br />the Natural Environment, aub�ect to the following regviatione: ' <br />a. Roada and parking� picnic and camping facilitiea (includinR <br />reatrooma) ahall not be located on the ahoreline. Trail � <br />acceea ahould be provided to link upland facilitiee to the <br />shareline; � <br />b. l}olf coursee, playing fielda, and other large areas devoted <br />to athletic activitiea will not be permitted on natural � <br />ehorelinea; <br />c. Uea of pesticidee, herbicidee, and fertilizere ia prohibited; _ <br />d. Landacaping muat, where poaaible, uae indigenoua� self- <br />maintaining vegetation. <br />Conaervancy Environmant <br />1.
