E. Dennis Rieb^:
everett
.. .,,,.
, ..s., .:, .
,..<•
On Pugust 26, 19A8, you submitted an aplication anC olans for buildinp and
Pili Works permits for a two hundred and ten (210) unit apartment complex to
be located un Silver Lake. The application and plans as submitted are basd
upon _ome revisions which have been made to the Shoreline Manaaement
Substantial Development Permit issued for this project. These revision
include, among other things, a reduct:on in the total number of units alloMed
fron 255 units to 21'l units, alteration of the location of some of the
tructures on the site and chanqes to the public pathway along the Lake.
shile the City staff may feel that ttie revisions result in a better project
ir,r the site because of the reduction in the impact on the La4<e and
cnvironment, the State Department of Ecology has told the City that such
revisions cannot be approved absent compliance with the Shoreline Substantia].
,ve-lopment permit revisicr process. Since the application and plans
..:bmitted by you have not beei reviewed by the City in accordance with the
requested revision process, the Planninq Department cannot approve them zs
sulirr:itted, which disallows the issuance of site perrits by the Public Works
f'r.partraent and buildiny {,ermits by the Building Division.
The City would, however, be willing to accept your application and plans
submitted on August 26, 1988, as an application for a building Fermit for the
1 si!e in question and allow you to revise and resubmit your application and
plans to comply with the oriairal plan, as approved by the City for a 255 unit
apartR,ent complex in accordance with the Shoreline Manaqement Substantial
1
Develo[cent Permit.
