Section 31061b)4,C. of WAC 51-20 <br />pives dimencions for exceptable clearances and reach distances for wheelchair bound people. <br />The clinic's concern is about the heiptit of countertops on the cabinets and is this section <br />applicable to the 36" end 39" heiBhts of some oi the countertops. �ts was Steve's opinion that <br />this section did not necessarily apply and that other provisions of the code allow for a 36" <br />hei0ht. Also he said the code is vepue and does not address every situation. I stated that <br />there are provisions for HC accessibility at ail client used counters and that the 39" <br />countera are for tha use of the nursinp sta(f.
