In response to a lette► received from Everett public works about connecting to the Qublic sewer. About us: We are two old flxed income seniors who built a small two bedroom house in 1984.We have lived here 22 years and struggle to hang on despite the high cost of living. The property taxes have sky rocketed because of all of the developements around us. The cost of everything keeps going up like health care, medicine,gasoline,water,power,garbage. We need to be allowed not to hook up to the sewers for 10 years as to avoid the sewer latecomer charges levied on us by the developer of Creek Village Subdiv.WE could never pay that fee of nearly 519,000 and be able to remain in our home.The Everett connect to the :�ewer charge would also still be a burden and a hardship as th� c;istance and depth are so great.lt would be very costly. About our septic system: When we built our house we had an extra la�ge septic tank put in and extra large field drain put in so that if we sold our house in the future and some o�e built on to the house to make more bedrooms then the septic system would match the bedroom size.We have never had any trouble of any kind with our septic system as we have always been very careful with it. All detergents are biodegradable. We have no dishwasher or garbage disposal.The toilet paper is biodegradable too.We do not expect any problem with our system. What we want is not to be worried about losing our house and property ove� matters like this.We both have health problems that do not allow stress to be a part of our lives. We are pleased to be a part of Evereit now since we were annexed and think that it is a vast improvement. Pleas: approve our request about tha sewer hook up and allow us 10 years so that we can a� oid the late comers charges . Thank you. Mr. and Mrs. Beath
