City: Conducting monthly department emergency management <br /> liaison meetings, training and exercises, .Providing department <br /> employee and family preparedness training. Providing department <br /> emergency management focused information, training and <br /> exercises. <br /> 6. A separate annex is developed to address persons with specific needs <br /> and service animals (see Annex E). <br /> 7. City of Everett Animal Services is responsible for the emergency and <br /> major disaster planning for farm and companion animal response, <br /> evacuation/relocation and sheltering. <br /> 8: City of Everett departments are responsible for continuity of operations <br /> planning efforts to support this plan. Guidance is provided by the City <br /> of Everett Office of Emergency Management on specific areas to be <br /> covered in each department plan. <br /> 9. The City Emergency Operations Center is located at the Everett Police <br /> Department South Precinct, 1121 SE Everett Mall Way. If the EOC is <br /> damaged beyond use, the City EOC may co-locate with the <br /> Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management or <br /> contract for an adequate facility. <br /> B. Operational Intent <br /> 1. The City of Everett government will direct and control emergency and <br /> major disaster operations, city resources and mutual aid resources <br /> within its borders. <br /> 2. The Mayor of the City of Everett will coordinate the City's capabilities, <br /> resources and assets to prevent, prepare for, restore and recover from <br /> an emergency or major disaster. <br /> 3. The City shall maintain an on-call Emergency Management Duty <br /> Officer as the primary contact for emergency management issues and <br /> EOC activations. <br /> 4. All City Department's organizational structure will be maintained during <br /> emergency and major disaster operations unless it is impractical to do <br /> so. <br /> 5. Emergency and major disaster operations will utilize the National <br /> Incident Management System and Incident Command System (see <br /> Figure 2.1). <br /> City of Everett CEMP -237 January 26, 2010 <br />
