Amount Budgeted $3,500,000 Expenditure Required $314,348 Account Number(s): UP 3421 Budget Remaining $3,185,652 Additional Required $0 DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The capital budget includes$3.5 million for the Water Transmission Line No. 4 Phase 1 Replacement Project. This segment of Water Transmission Line No.4 consists of 48-inch and 36-inch steel pipe installed in 1938 and 1959. The work under Phase 1 will consist of replacing up to 1,150 feet of 48-inch diameter steel pipe and 100 feet of 36-inch steel pipe. The 48-inch steel pipe is in poor condition and has had 3 leaks in the past 2 years. RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional Services Agreement with Murray, Smith and Associates, Inc. for engineering design services for the Water Transmission Line No. 4 Phase 1 Replacement Project in the amount not to exceed$314,348. 75
