RESOLUTION NO. <br /> 6 <br /> A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving sole source purchases of Neptune <br /> Water Meters and Parts from HD Waterworks Supply for an estimated annual amount of$200,000,including <br /> Washington State Sales Tax. <br /> WHEREAS,the Public Works Department requires an annual supply of water meters and parts; and <br /> WHEREAS,Neptune Technology Group produces the only water meters that are compatible with existing <br /> equipment installed since 1997; and <br /> WHEREAS,Neptune meters share the same spare parts inventory and maintenance protocols as the existing <br /> equipment; and <br /> WHEREAS,HD Waterworks Supply is the sole authorized distributor of Neptune water meters in <br /> Washington State; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT that <br /> because there is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying water meters and parts that <br /> meet the City's needs and are compatible with existing equipment,the City hereby waives competitive <br /> bidding requirements and authorizes the purchase of Neptune Water Meters from HD Waterworks Supply for <br /> an estimated annual amount of$200,000 including Washington State Sales Tax. <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this day of ,2010. <br /> Council President <br /> 24 <br />
