Box 2223 PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTLI ENT
Everett, Washington 98203 ]TSRSTREET
EVF.OETT,TI,WASIIINOION
SG 9eTol
Subject: Connection of 412 - 58th Street to the
Public Sewer System
Dear Mr. Lervick:
In reviewing our utility charts it appears that the existing sewer mains in
the area are not low enough to serve this property with a gravity side sewer.
There is the option of installing a pressure line system that would serve this
property. The pressure line should be run through an easement into a private
manhole and then gravity flow across the Public Right-of-way and into the
sewer main. This requirement would be made per the City of Everett Design and
Construction Standards Section 6.4.2.6 which reads:
All side sewers must gravity into the City's sanitary system. Private
pressure lines are not permitted on Public Right-of-way. Private pressure
lines must enter a manhole on private property and gravity into the public
system with a standard side sewer connection. The minimum manhole size
permitted for this application is 3 feet diameter installed with a locking
lid frame and cover per Standard Plan 0607.
A copy of the utility charts showing the possible s.'de sewer connection is
enclosed.
If you have any questions, please contact our office at 259-8800.
Sincerely,
ALFRED R.
