We <br /> would appreciate your assistance in clarifying the status of this permit. If you have decided not <br /> to do this project at this time,please let us know so we can clear the record. The International <br /> Building Code and the International Residential Code state that all permits expire if the work <br /> authorized by the permits is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after the work is <br /> commenced. Work under this permit will no longer be authorized unless you: <br /> 1) Demonstrate continuing progress by requesting inspection of work that has occurred since <br /> your last inspection,or <br /> 2) Request final inspections of the work that is completed,or <br /> 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension,detailing justifiable cause for extension. <br /> Please respond within 10 days. After that time your permit file will be sent to our Records <br /> Department for microfilming without documentation of final approval. These records arc <br /> available to prospective buyers and lending institutions. If you wish to resume work in the <br /> future, a new permit must be obtained.
