0APURL/C WORKS
November 16, 2010
Chris Grounds
515 60" St SE
Everett WA 98203
Subject: Project: Grounds
Job Address: 515 60" St SE
Plan Check No: WB1010-006
Dear Mr. Grounds:
In response to your application for a construction permit, your plans have been examined and
you are advised that the issuance of a permit is being withheld for the reasons listed below.
These comments address building Issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be
required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the
(2009 International Building Code,) (2009 International Residential Code,) as amended by the
State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2006 Edition, and adopted by the
City of Everett, unless stated otherwise.
In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to
provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the
corrections requested.
1. The "new awning section" provided is actually an elevation drawing. Provide a
section that clearly illustrates how the structure is constructed and meets minimum
code requirements, including section at laundry room
2. The "new awning roof plan" shows the 2x6 rafters ending at the exterior wall of the
laundry room. The "new awning section" and "new awning elevation" show the
rafters continuing up to the existing roof; please clarify.
3. The "new awning foundation plan" show (2) 10" x 10" x 6" pads supporting 6x6
posts. Footings are required to be on undisturbed soil not less than 12" below the
finished grade.
4. The ABU-66 post base specified relies on anchorage to the foundation for design
loads. Specify connection of ABU-66 to the concrete footing.
5. The 'roof eave detail" does not appear to apply to this structure; provide detail
specific to this application.
6. Show beam of bearing wall between the laundry room and the house supporting 2x6
rafters.
k10111.0 JMW%111010-006(515 6e 51 SEI N
chir-mIFFoI"ir /of IGI Ir rr:m/i FC nl\/ICInm . a7nn rwinr aI•Fvr+ra8 WA AR701 -14751 2h7-8800•Faxt4251257-88.96
