The <br /> Uniform Building Code provides that all permits expire by limitation if the work authorized by <br /> the permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after work is commenced for a period of 180 <br /> days. If you wish to prevent the permit from expiring without documentation of completion,you <br /> may: <br /> 1) Request an inspection of work that hams occurred,to document continuing progress, <br /> or 2) Request final inspection if the work is completed, <br /> or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension. <br /> Please respond within 10 days. After that time the file will be sent to our Records Department <br /> for microfilming without final approval.
