Minutes The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Pearl Maddy of the Planning Department staff' in lieu of a chairman, since Ross Hoagland's term expired at the end of December. Attending were Frank Bennett, Everett Miller and Marie Sullivan; also attending was Ramona Boy sn, who arrived later. The first order of business was the election of a new chairman. Frank Bennett offered a motion to appoint Everett Miller as chairman; Marie Sullivan seconded the motion. The motion passed with the following vote: Bennett: yes Sullivan: yes Miller: abstain Everett Miller accepted the appointment as Chairman and asked for the support of the other Board members in carrying out his duties. ITEM 1: Applicant: Norman Schulz 2518 Taylor Drive Everett, Washington 98203 Project Location: Lot 4, Edgemoor Heights Zoning: R-S, Single Family Residential Variance Requested: From E.M.C. , 19. 12.050(B), Side Yard, to allow constructicr. of a single family residence that would be 5 ft. 6 in. from the south side property line and 5 ft. from the north side property line instead of the 7 ft. 6 in. required by City code. Pearl Maddy summarized the staff report (see Variance File No. 45-86) and presented slides of the property. Norman Schulz, 2518 Taylor Drive, the applicant, stated that he was satisfied with the staff report and did not wish to speak. No one else spoke either for or against the variance request. Motion: Frank Bennett offered a motion to grant the variance as recommended by staff. Marie Sullivan seconaed the motion. Vote: Unanimous in favor of granting the variance.
