Box 3404 <br />Everett, WA 98203 <br />Re: Plan 1601 Rear Corner Reduction for Lot Line Setback at Lot 1. <br />')-ar Pete: <br />The rear corner of the great room may be ":lipped" to meet lot line setback requirements. As I <br />understand it, the corner is to be clipped Ey approximately 14 to 16 inches toward the dining <br />room and 3 fee, toward the front of the bui .ding. Under these conditions, the following changes <br />must be made to the lateral bracing system <br />• The rear wall of the great room, designated as shearwall type 4, must have the edge <br />nailing pattern increased from 6 inches on center to 4 inches on center. <br />• The sole plate nailing for this same wall must be increased from 16 penny nails at 8 <br />inches on center to three 16 penny sails per 16 inches, or the sheathing may be extended <br />to the mudsill with no splice at the s-ile plate line. <br />All other lateral bracing is to remain as shown on the approved plans. <br />If you have auy questions on the above, please ca^ sae at (503) 5434881 or (503) 396-0810. <br />Sincerely, SAAJL" <br />John P.
