SE <br />Everett, WA 98203 <br />Dear Mr. Heilman: <br />In reference to your letter of July 26, 2011, in reference to plan check #C1107-004 listing <br />a requirement for retaining wall designs prepared by a licensed Washington State <br />structural engineer, pages 1 and 6 of our construction plans have been red -lined to show <br />a three -sided garage with full concrete walls from floor of garage to floor of deck. <br />According to the attached engineering reports, making this change will eliminate the <br />need for retaining wall requirements as this now becomes part of the entire structure <br />with full support. The engineering report also affirms that making this change in no way <br />affects the wind and earthquake design requirements. Our builder already knows that <br />this change from carport to garage requires additional firewall protection between garage <br />walls and structure walls of the hnme and all requirements shown by page three of our <br />plan ,`or garage separation will be met by our builder. <br />Yours truly, <br />Greg Kuper, Sr. <br />`Donna Kuper <br />
