These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions <br />may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All <br />references refer to the 1997 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the State of <br />Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1997 Edition, unless stated <br />otherwise. <br />In order for the processing of your applicsrtion to continue, it will be necessary to <br />provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the <br />corrections 7equested. <br />1. Four off street parking spaces are required for a single family residence (sfr). The <br />space in the garage is less than the minimum 16'-0" width for two cars. Revise <br />plans to provide parking. <br />2. It appears that the 4 x 10 D.F. #2 beam over the bay at the living room is <br />overstressed. Provide new beam size, species and grade. <br />3. Revise elevation view to show actual finished grade. <br />4. Provide detail of cripple wall at the tall crawl space. If cripple wall is ;,. 'han 14" <br />tall it shall be framed of solid blocking. When exceeding 4 feet (1219mm) in <br />height, such walls shall be framed of studs having the size required for an additional <br />story. <br />5.
