In reference to our meeting on August 17, 1978, I ha-9 contacted var- ious Building Departments to establish their requirements in t lgards to hand- icap unite. The City of Bellevue (Mike Jajar) will allow a two hour fire wall to separate the buildings which in their opinion changes building size. Mr. Chandler from the City of Kent states that if we submit a letter showing adver- tising and explain procedure. in attempting to sell to handicapped individuals stating that units are pre -Enid, they will allow the handicapped requirements to be dropped. I have enclosed a letter from our Attorney, Tim Clifford, pertaining to hand- icapped units which he discussed with Chris Woodsam in Olympia. Please also find enclosed copies of a Memorandum explaining handicapped requirements for ---a"Condominiume for King County and a copy of the Ammended Washington State Build - are Code Advisory Council Rules and Regulations pertaining to handicapped unite. As stated in our letter dated August 17, the specified handicapped unity are sold and we did attemi:t to adver- ties to that market. We feel we have tried to sell to handicapped FiErsons, but we discovered that there was no response to our advertising.
