Permit Counter Thank you for your timely consideration of our proposed deletion A ground fault circuitry from a 6000 �-.mp switchboard at 1415 75th Street SW, Everett, WA. We have reviewed the requirements with Mr. Lorne Wallitner of Rodgers Electric Company, and understand the equip rent protection purpose of ground fault circuitry in our electrical service. We have reviewed the requirements specifically in regard to the three main fused bolted pressure switches and have found that GFI protection should be provided for the 1,600 and 2,000 ar, ,) switches since the equipment connected to those feeders will not provide an immediate health or injury hazard shculd power become unexpectedly disconnected in the event of a ground fault. Our main safety concern is the loads served by the 2,500 amp switch. The possibility of injury from a power outagq on loads served by that section is significant enough that the potential equipment damage is less important than the personnel hazard an outage could produce. Therefore, with your department's approval, it is our plan to proceed with ground fault protection eliminated from only distribution Section "A", fed from the 2,500 amp bolted pressure switch.
