January 5, 2000 <br />Greg Thayer, Vice President <br />Cascade Coffee Inc. <br />1525 — 75" St. SW <br />Everett WA 98203 <br />SUBJECT: Building Permits <br />Dear Greg: <br />A Building Permit will be required for the following: <br />• rack system — installed <br />• platforms — partially complete <br />• walls creating maintenance Brea — to be constructed <br />• structural work — rcide flange beams — installed <br />A Mechanical Permit and Electrical Permit is required for the following: <br />• coffee roasters and the exhaust stack including the interconnected gas valves required by the Fire Department. <br />• packaging machines <br />• grinder/package line <br />The submittal for Building Permits needs to include a completed application (enclosed), structural calculations for the <br />racking, platforms and wide flange beams and a floor plan. The plan could be an overlay of the plan used for the <br />office development work by Newland Construction. That plan is technically the property of Botesch. Nash and Hall, <br />Architects. You may be able to obtain a copy through that office to save time creating one for this use. <br />The high piled storage permit also needs to be renewed with the Fire Department. The changes in configuration will <br />be addressed during the review of the renewal <br />The submittal for Mechanical Permit requires specification sheets giving the testing laboratory listings, burner ratings <br />and electrical data.
