JUN 2
rIT-1 OF EVERETi
Horton Dennis & Associates, Inc.
consulting rngincers
May 27, 1982
Mr. Dan Olson
THE KOLL COMPANY
2021 - 152nd Avenue N.E.
2edmend, Washington 98052
SUBJECT: O'DONNELL BRIGHAM & PARTNERSiN.W.
PAINE FIELD INDUSTRIAL CENTER
Dear Dan:
Reference is made to my letter of May 19, 1982
deleting the two (2) catch basins, are as follows:
r
R EC E'V r'.
MAY 2 8 1982
THE t'0!!• Gr'.
The reason for
Building 8 - the Type IV CB/solid lid was intended to serve as a
junction box to allow the outfall pipe from 'he storm system to be laid
with a minimum of structural excavation in the fill prism; the deletion
of the structure will not affect the operation of the system.
Building 12 - the Type IV inlet was designed to intercept the run-
off from the access road and tightline it to a nearby existing catch
basin in 75th Street. However, a plethora of underground utilities will
make this installation difficult. Since there is an existing catch, basin
within approximately twenty feet of the inlet location and since storm
runoff will flow through the driveway approach to the existing gutter and
to -Lhe existing c,,,tch basin; deletion of the Type IV inlet should produce
no drainage problems.
Were the existirg CB not so close to the point of discharge and
were there not utilities in place to conflict with construction, we
would recommend installation of the inlet. However, these two condi-
tions promote our recommendation that the inlet may be deleted.
If you have any questions, please call us.
Si
W
WJS:tIt
n 54)
IS &IASSOCIATESP INC.
6133 Si.vth Ave. Sou,`%, Batt%, A''aA;iigton 08108 • Phone 767-3456
