"1111PAI/Ac-A-- <br /> E! d ETT <br /> RESOLUTION No. 3895 <br /> RESOLUTION in Support of Proposition No. 6 <br /> on the Special Election Ballot of February 8, 1994, <br /> authorizing an increase in property tax levy for <br /> construction and equipping of a <br /> juvenile detention and justice center. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that the Snohomish County Council and the <br /> Snohomish County Executive have determined that the Denney Youth Center is <br /> inadequate to meet the County's current and future needs; and <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Snohomish County Council and the <br /> Snohomish County executive that a new juvenile detention and justice center to house <br /> additional courtrooms, a detention facility for up to 100 juvenile offenders and space <br /> for staff, volunteers and resource agencies is necessary to serve the County's juvenile <br /> detention population; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett City Council supported the capital project (then Proposition <br /> Number 1 on the September 14, 1993 Primary Election ballot) through Council <br /> Resolution No. 3829 on August 25, 1993; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT supports Proposition Number 6 authorizing an increase in the <br /> Snohomish County property tax levy for construction and equipping of a juvenile <br /> detention and justice center. <br /> � _2 . <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of February, 1994. <br /> ounci 'resit ent <br />
