These <br /> comments address buildirg issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other <br /> departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). Bearing walls over 10'0" tall are required to be engineered by a structural engineer per Table <br /> 23-IV-B of the UBC. <br /> 3. Show foundation vents on foundation plan. <br /> 4. Specify hold-downs at alternate braced wall panels. Show on foundation plan. <br /> 5. If concrete porches are to be used, show reinforcing steel stubbed out at 18" o.c. to resist <br /> differential settling. <br /> 6. Provide intermediate support detail(s). Show how connections are capable of resisting uplift <br /> and lateral displacement. Show minimum 12" clearance to grade. <br /> 7. Provide cross section of continuous concrete footing in crawl space.
