These <br /> comments address buildirg issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other <br /> departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1997 Uniform <br /> Building Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code <br /> 1997 Edition, unless stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary <br /> to provide the Building Division wall two complete new sets of drawings <br /> reflecting the corrections requested. <br /> 1. Provide cross section for each different type of construction. Sections shall be specific to <br /> this structure. Specify connectors at plates and ridge. Section 106.3.3 <br /> 2. Bearing walls over 10'0" tall are required to be engineered by a structural engineer per Table <br /> 23-IV-B of the UBC. <br /> 3. Show foundation vents on foundation plan. <br /> 4. Specify hold-downs at alternate braced wall panels. Show on foundation plan. <br /> 5. If concrete porches are to be used, show reinforcing steel stubbed out at 18" o.c. to resist <br /> differential settling. <br /> 6. Provide intermediate support detail(s). Show how connections are capable of resisting uplift <br /> and lateral displacement. Show minimum 12" clearance to grade. <br /> 7. Provide cross section of continuous concrete footing in crawl space.
