f WHEREAS on July 22, 1992 City Council approved the Community • Theater Management and Budget Plan reaffirming the Mission Statement and outlining a plan to proceed with the management and operations of the Community Theater; and WHEREAS in accordance with the Community Theater Management and Budget Plan Everett Performing Arts has been organized as a private non-profit corporation for the purpose of managing and operating the Community Theater on behalf of the City; and WHEREAS in accordance with the Community Theater Management and Budget Plan a proposed contract between the City and Everett Performing Arts was prepared for operating and managing the new performing arts theater facility; and WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the proposed contract and has determined that it is now appropriate, desirable and in the public interest to enter into an agreement with Everett Performing Arts for the operation and management of the Community Theater, and to designate Everett Performing Arts, it's Executive Director and it's Board of Directors as the advocate for, and the keeper of, the mission of the Community Theater; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT: Section 1: The Mayor is authorized to enter into and sign the attached contract with Everett Performing Arts for the operation and management of the new performing arts facility at 2710 Wetmore Avenue, Exhibit "A", in an amount not to exceed $ 384,000 for 1993, and for subsequent years not to exceed an amount authorized by the City Council in the City's normal budget process. Section 2: Everett Performing Arts, its Executive Director and Board of Directors are designated as the advocate for, and the keeper of, the mission of the Community Theater, as adopted on March 6, 1991 I Councilperson troducing ' esolution PASSED and APPROVED this 24th day of February 1993.
