EL/E?ETT <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3730 <br /> A Resolution of the City of Everett, Washington, adopting the Snohomish County Moderate Risk <br /> Waste Management Plan. <br /> WHEREAS, R.C.W. 70.105.220 requires each local government or combination of contiguous local <br /> governments to prepare Local Moderate Risk Waste Management Plans based on the state <br /> guidelines, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has agreed to participate in the preparation of a joint City-County <br /> Moderate Risk Waste Management Plan, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Snohomish County Local Moderate Risk Waste Management Plan must be <br /> submitted to the Washington State Department of Ecology with Resolutions of Plan Adoption by <br /> the Cities, Towns and County which are jointly preparing the Local Hazardous Waste Management <br /> Plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Everett, that the City of <br /> Everett does hereby adopt the 1992 Snohomish County Moderate Risk Waste Management Plan. <br /> PROVIDED, HOWEVER, that, notwithstanding any provision of the 1992 Snohomish County <br /> Moderate Risk Waste Management Plan, the City retains all its rights and responsibilities regarding <br /> the siting and regulation of any waste disposal facility within the City, including but not limited to, <br /> its substantive authority under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA). The City further is not <br /> precluded from comment on any other waste disposal facility siting matter which the City deems to <br /> affect its interest. <br /> PROVIDED FURTHER, notwithstanding any provision of the 1992 Snohomish County Moderate <br /> Risk Waste Management Plan, the City will not accept any vactor grit from any other governmental <br /> entity, except for vactor grit accepted pursuant to an agreement entered into prior to the adoption of <br /> this Resolution. <br /> Done at open public meeting this 20 day of January, 1993. <br /> • <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 20 day of January, 1993. <br /> Council President <br />
