0^P <br /> EYE/?ETT <br /> RESOLUTION # 3728 <br /> A RESOLUTION Relating to the Safety and Well-Being of the <br /> General Public and Allocating $10,000 the Volunteers of America on a <br /> One-Time Emergency Basis. <br /> WHEREAS, the Volunteers of America is the primary clearing house for <br /> low-income citizens for food and clothing in all of Snohomish County; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, fire destroyed a major component of the Volunteers of <br /> America service delivery system; and <br /> WHEREAS, the welfare of hundreds of citizens is jeopardized when the <br /> Volunteers of America cannot respond in a timely manner; and <br /> WHEREAS, this non-profit, human service provider needs an emergency <br /> allocation in order to be able to continue providing county-wide services; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, this allocation is designated to promote the safety and well- <br /> being of the general public; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY <br /> COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT, to allocate $5,000 from the <br /> Council Contingency Fund and $5,000 from the Mayor's Contingency <br /> Fund to the Volunteers of America. <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 13th day of January , 1993. <br /> Councilmember Introducing Resolution <br /> die <br /> -�` d P iamo s, ounci Pres',-nt <br />
