supervisor, Department Head or the Chief Administrative <br /> Assistant. Appropriate action to investigate and address <br /> complaints of retaliation shall be taken. <br /> If the complaint cannot be informally resolved by the employee's <br /> supervisor, the employee shall provide written notice to the <br /> Department Head and Chief Administrative Assistant that specifies <br /> (1) the alleged retaliatory action and (2) the relief requested <br /> by the employee. The written complaint must be filed within <br /> thirty (30) days of the alleged retaliation. The City will <br /> respond to the complaint within thirty (30) days of receiving the <br /> written notice. <br /> If the employee alleging retaliation receives no response from <br /> the City or objects to the City's response, the employee may <br /> request a hearing before a state administrative law judge. The <br /> request for a hearing must be delivered in writing to the Mayor <br /> within either fifteen (15) days following the City's response to <br /> the charge of retaliatory action, or forty-five (45) days after <br /> the complaint was filed, if there was no response from the City. <br /> Upon receipt of request for hearing, the City shall apply within <br /> five (5) working days to the State Office of Administrative <br /> Hearings for an adjudicative proceeding before an administrative <br /> law judge: <br /> Office of Administrative Hearings <br /> P.O.
