The Mechanical Inspector has noted that the installation of the <br /> units does not appear to be to the manufacturers installation instructions. We received a <br /> fax from your office on September 31, 1998 showing a diagram of the structure and <br /> support of a typical unit. The diagram is not sufficient, however, to review the supports <br /> for compliance of vertical and seismic loads. <br /> Please provide accurate details to show how the unit has been installed. If the installation <br /> agrees with the intended design, please provide supporting calculations to show <br /> compliance with the structural requirements of the Uniform Building Code. If the unit <br /> has been installed contrary to intended design, please verify UBC compliance of the as- <br /> built installation or provide revisions to the existing installation. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Tony R.
