everett
October 16, 1981
Manager
Rainier News
1122 80th St. S.W.
Everett, WA 98203
Subject: Stormwater Detention System at 122 80th St. S.W.
To Whom It May Concern:
To ensure proper storm water management, the City of Rverett Rngineering
Department is routinely inspecting privately owned storm water det.,ntlon
systems on an annual basis. Careful attention must be given to the
maintenance of these drainage systema. It is the property owner's
responsibility to regularly have all the catch basins In the system
cleared of sediment, in particular, the catch basin housing the flow
restrictor. If the reatrictor becomes clogged, the detention system
will not function and the potential for flooding and pollution of the
receiving water bcdy increases.
The drainage system at the above address was t cantly it.spected. We
found that the lid to the reatrictor catch basin was not installed per the
approved drainage plan.
The inst111led lid is wood and not attached to the catch basin. Please
see that the lid Is replaced by an APWA approved lid as called for in
the drainage plan. Perhaps you could get the contractor, Norm Anderson,
to do the work.
Pleane see that the work is completed within 30 days of your receipt of
this letter.
Sincerely,
ALFRED R.
