INSPECTION DEPARTMENT <br /> Everett, Washington 98203 <br /> Attention; K. 11irosaka <br /> Dear Mr. 11irosaka; <br /> Thank you for your letter of April 1, 1974 regarding the rules by the <br /> Department of Labor and Industries of UL approval on all Electrical <br /> equipment. <br /> On your 1st proposal of using temporary electrical system until approval <br /> of the equipment by Underwriters has been given, we would be glad to <br /> extend our cooperation by granting this request. <br /> Item number two can also be granted if you will have the Underwriters <br /> Lab Inc. write us a letter stating you have submitted the equipment <br /> for examination. <br /> Item number three need not have a cut off dead line if we receive the <br /> letter requested in item number two. It may require more time than <br /> you have requested for the UL to complete the test and one of the <br /> provisions UL would request of the Kohkoku USA is that upon completion <br /> of their examination you would make any necessary changes in the <br /> equipment you have in use. This would automatically take care of all <br /> your requests. We will therefore grant all three request as I have <br /> outlined. <br /> L. J.
