(2) In open spaces -Pr- gar park areas.,.:
The design storage should not exceed a depth of three (3) inches,
In case of A b:.ockage at the outlet, the design should provide for
overland flow (preferably to a City etreet) when the depth. increases
to six (6) inches. .
(3) Specially constructed detention ponds. When the design for such ponds exceeds 3 feet or when sn hdepth
ide slopes for steeper than three horizontal to one vertical ponds are
fenced for safety reasons. The side slopes should benstabilized ould efor
anti -erosion purposes. Berm construction should conform to sound
engineering practices for design and construction and should be
stable under all conditions, at all times. The width at. top of berm
should be not less than 6 feet.
t7AIlJTENA*JCE OF DETENTION STORAGE FACILITIES
Maintenance of detention storage facilities located privately owned
property shall be the responsonibility of the property owner.
DESIGN Or OUTLET PIPE
The outlet pipe from the outlet control of the detention facility must have
adequate capacity to cater for maximum inflow. Under normal circumstances
the outlet pipe capacity would equal the runoff from the contributing
catchment area with post development runoff coefficient.
The pipe size may be selected from a suitable noaograph or may be calculated
mathematically,
