• 0 <br />MARCH 6, 1.978 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett Board of Adjustment was held <br />at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Everett Public Library. <br />Mr. Baird presided, Mr. Berg, Mr. Kristiansen were present. <br />Mr. Black and Mr. Russell were absent. <br />A hearing was held on the application of Bill Bourland, 8818 3rd <br />Avenue, Everett WA 98204 for a variance from Section 19.42.020 <br />Everett Municipal Code, Fences, for permission to construct and <br />maintain a fence with a maximum height of ten (10) feet in the <br />front yard rather than the code requirement of three feet six <br />inches (3' 611). <br />The fence is to be placed around a private residential tennis <br />court. <br />Legal Description: The East 156 feet of the following described <br />tract: <br />Beginning at the Northwest -orner of Government Lot 2, Section <br />18, Township 28 North, Raije 5 East, WM.; thence South 88 50' 56" <br />East along the North line of said Government Lot 2 for 30.01 feet; <br />thence South 50 29' 40" West along the East line of 3rd Avenue as <br />now established for 20.0 feet to the true point of beginning;thence <br />continue South 0 29' 40" West 134.34 feet to the North line of the <br />Plat of Holly Crest; thence East along the North line of said plat <br />for 334.47 feet to the West line of the Plat of Cascade Mountain <br />View Addition Division number 2; thence North along the West line <br />of. said Plat for 127.63 feet to a point 20 feet South of the North <br />line of said Government Lot 2; thence North 88 50' 56" West and <br />parallel to said North line for 333.34 feet to the true point of <br />beginning; situated in the County of. Snohmish, State of Washington. <br />Address: 308 - 88th St SE Everett, WA <br />Zoning: R-3 Multiple Family Low Density Residence <br />Mr. Bourland represented himself and mentioned his tennis court <br />will be somewhat smaller than the standard size and because of <br />its location the fence for the tennis court would not be detrimental <br />to the surroundinq area. <br />Mr. Johnson commented for the staff and stated there was no particular <br />problem with the proposal. <br />There was no opposition from the audience. <br />After visually viewing the subject property and hearing all the <br />facts, it was moved by Mr. Kristiansen, seconded by Mr. Baird <br />and unanimously carried to grant the applicant's request as it <br />meets all the requirements of Section 19.70.060 paragraphs 1,2,3, and 4. <br />i <br />
