The f-Alowing are the special circumstances which apply <br />to my property which deprive me of rights and privileges which are <br />enjoyed by other propertics in the vicinity un or the identical <br />zone classification. <br />It is our opinion that a; barrier -free home on this lot would <br />support the dity of Everett with good living for the handicapped - <br />a great need foi all cities. This barrier -Free home is pre -sold <br />to a veteran. <br />POINT 2. The variance I am requesting will not be detrimental to <br />the public welfare or injurious to the properties or improvements <br />in the vicinity of a zone in which my property is located because: <br />Adequate room in the rear yard setback remains to develop a nomfnrtabip <br />backyard area for this house. T!:e house would use 26.1% of the property, <br />the driveway 5%, leaving 68.2% available for yard. <br />POINT 3. If this variance is -not granted, an unnecessary hardship <br />:ill continue to the o�•:ncr of this property, the cause of which is <br />beyond his control because: <br />Sherstad Sc Williams, Inc. has constructed -a barrier -free house for the handicapped <br />in Everett on two previous occasions= we feel the need still exists in the City of <br />• Everett for this type house, proof of which is the pre -sale of this home fof Lot 9. <br />We have tried to find other lots which would be suitpble for this barrier -free <br />home without a variance but have been unsuccessful. ' <br />'POINT 4. So as not to grant a special Privilege to me by the -granting <br />of this variance I submit the following conditions to be imposed so <br />as not. to -cause inconsistencies with the ).imitations upon otlier <br />properties in the vicinity and zone in which I am located. <br />This plan is well oriented to this lot•. We have carefully plot- _ <br />planned all contiguous lots 6o as to provide for private backyards. <br />
