SSI <br />has been working with Cascade Lumber for ttie past five years. <br />Cascade Lumber provides additional framing to accommodate standard conditions that are <br />encountered on each project. One of the more common framing details is the double joist that <br />is utilized at conditions such as non bearing walls above, cantilevers for bay windows, etc. <br />Standard SLmctures Ind. has reviewed the Cascade Lumber details for general conformance <br />with SSI's engweering and detailing. <br />The double joist detail can be accomplished with two 2x10 joists, two 9-1/4" 1-Joists, or a 9- <br />1/4" and 2xl0 joists and two 2x12 Joists, two 11-7/8" or 11-7/8" I -Joist with a 2x12. <br />Currently Cascade Lumber uses all of these naming options depending on the layout <br />conditions and specific detail. The 2x10 and 21r12 that Cascade Lumber provides is a premium <br />wood product appropriate for use with the 1 Joist. The Cascade Lumber 2x10 Dry and 2x12 <br />Dry is kiln dried material.
