These comments address building issues only, additional revisions or additions <br />may be required by other departments (such as hilities, Planning or Fire). All <br />references refer to the 1997 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the State of <br />Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1997 Edition, unless stated otherwise. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be nc--essary to <br />provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the <br />corrections requested. <br />I . It appears that the 2 x 12 x 12' and 2 x 12 x I V beams shown on the plans will <br />not meet the minimum requirements for loading as specified in the Uniform <br />Building Code. Provide new beam size, species and grade. <br />2. Specify on plans: All wood exposed to the weather shall be of natural resistance <br />to decay or pressure treated. <br />3. Provide plans and details similar to the enclosed examples. Provide information <br />specific to your project. <br />4.
