Everett Parks and Recreation Parks
CIP Supporting Information "The
Strategic Master Plan"
Everett Parks and Recreation Strategic Master Plan Section 5
— Capital Improvement Program
Based on the community's desire for more parks and
recreation facilities, there are several key projects that should
be developed. Many of these projects are costly to develop,
but they have a high return on investment. Capital cost
numbers are not listed because the construction costs are
constantly changing and it is difficult to predict accurately until
such time the improvement is scheduled to come on live. The
following generalized projects and project types are examples
recommended for the Capital Improvement Program: -
Acquire land for Neighborhood and Community Parks
Enhance and upgrade all existing parks and sports
fields
Create a Riverfront Park and Harborfront Trail
Create a Downtown Park
Develop Phase 2 of the 10th Street Marine Park
Add Additional Soccer Fields
Enhance Silver Lake Park improvements
Create (24) miles of New Trails
Develop (2) Community Centers
A
Enhance Forest Park Improvements
Update Forest Park Pool
Renovate Kasch Park soccer and baseball fields
Update Walter Hall Golf Course Club House
Seek land easements through drainage corridors that
can be developed for greenways and trails
Everett Parks and Recreation
0
